Fire safety compliance is non-negotiable in commercial projects, but that has historically meant accepting a trade-off on aesthetics. The Slatpanel® Fire-Rated range changes that. Rated Class A against ASTM E84 - the highest achievable classification for interior wall panels - these panels give architects, designers, and specifiers the confidence to use real wood slat panelling in projects where fire performance is a code requirement, without reaching for a lesser finish or a synthetic alternative.

Each panel features the same real walnut wood veneer wrap as our standard range. The slats are fully wrapped in genuine veneer, so you get the authentic grain pattern, natural depth, and tactile warmth of real wood - not a printed effect, not a foil - on a panel that has earned its Class A credentials. When acoustic performance is also a project requirement, the Fire-Rated panels deliver Class A acoustic ratings too, when installed to the correct specification.

The fire rating is only valid on the panel as supplied; additional paints or finishes will invalidate the rating

 

Installation Notice

The fire rated panels only achieve the full Class A fire rating and Class A acoustic rating when installed on a gypsum plasterboard substrate rated Class A, with 1.77" furr-outs and insulation material. There is to be no air gap.

If you are only installing the panels for the fire-rating benefits, there is no need for the 1.77" furr-outs or acoustic insulation - you can install straight onto your suitable substrate, as outlined above, with no air gap.

Valid for vertical and horizontal slat installations.

Do not apply any additional paints or finishes to the panel, as this will invalidate the fire rating.
